“In the end… We only regret the chances we didn’t take, the relationships we were afraid to have and the decisions we waited too long to make.” – Lewis Carrol

This is one statement I have always lived by! Being diagnosed with a long-term condition at the age of 17 made me realise that life is too short to have any regrets. Looking out of the hospital window back in 2006, sat in my bed on a hectic ward surrounded by people whose lives had passed them by, made me realise there is a whole world out there, one that I wasn’t sure I would be able to experience with such a life changing illness. I made a promise to myself that day that I would try to travel as far as I could into the 4 corners of the earth and do as much charitable work as possible. Fast forward 13 years and I have been blessed to travel to many destinations and have met the most amazing people during my travels. To date I have travelled to 28 different countries, 34 cities and counting.

After many years of ermming and ahhhing I have decided to start off my own Travel Blog and bring you – “Not so Plane Jane” (did you see what I did there…”plane”…Jane…travel blog…get it??….wow tough crowd!) Not only do I wish to share my travel experience, must do activities, do’s & dont’s whilst abroad but to also involve other bloggers to share their journeys and experiences with me. Well, that is the plan for now.

Many of you have always asked for me to share my stories, so in no particular order, I will be sharing different experiences of countries I have visited as and when I can. I will try to upload these blogs regularly – I promise! Hopefully you will enjoy the many tales from around the globe and be able to share your experiences too. Feel free to share with others and I look forward to hearing your stories and meeting many of you in person one day.

Hopefully you all can get a feel of some of these wonderful melting pots of people, culture, architecture and history dotted around the globe with me.
